Materials and equipment: 8 x 10.5" art paper provided by Art to Remember• sharpened #2 pencil or mechanical pencil • eraser - just in case • fine point markers in various colors • one penny per student
Step 1: Fold
the rectangle piece of paper to 8” x 5.25”.
Step 2: Fold
again. When opened, there will be 4 sections.
Step 3: Now fold once - long end to long end. When opened, there
will be 8 sections.
Step 4: On one section, write their initials (or short name) in pencil
lightly. Hint: The lines have to touch the folds. Use block or bubble letters.
Step 5: When the name or initial is completed darken the lines.
Step 6: Fold the section down or over the next empty space.
Step 7: Rub the back of the drawing to transfer the penciled
name on the next space. It will either be upside down or backwards.
Step 8: Trace the section that was rubbed. Repeat the process until all sections
are filled.
Step 9: Add color. Marker or paint works best.
