Resource materials: Art examples previously completed. There really aren’t many resources for this project since it is so spontaneously and randomly done.
Materials and equipment: 8 x 10.5" art paper provided by Art to Remember • yellow paper previously bleached by the teacher or adult volunteer.
Step 1: Pass out a sheet of bleached paper to each student.
Step 2: Turn
the paper in different directions to see what shapes they can see in the
paper.
Step 3: Hold some of the papers up and ”brainstorm.” Discuss
what some of the shapes look like. (This is very helpful and gets the children
thinking.)
Step 4: Start to draw using lines, shapes, and forms to create recognizable
objects in the paper using only a black sharpie.
