
Resource materials: seed catalogues, seasonal magazines, calendars, books about the seasons from the media center.
Materials and equipment: 8 x 10.5" art paper provided by Art to Remember sky blue paper can be provided pencils colored markers.
Step 1: Class discussion about the different seasons of the year. Concentrate on springtime flowers bloom, the weather gets warmer, grass turns green, trees leaf out, birds return and days are sunny and bright or there might be April showers!
Step 2: Draw your spring picture lightly in pencil. Be sure to have objects close up larger and objects far away smaller.
Step 3: Color with markers using a variety of bright spring colors. Outline some of the objects in your picture for emphasis.
