Flower Power

Resource materials: flowers, silk flowers, calendars and artists floral paintings such as Georgia O’Keefe.

Materials and equipment: 8 x 10.5" art paper provided by Art to Remember • pencils • assorted color markers.

Step 1: Choose a flower shape and draw it very large to the edge of the paper in pencil.

Step 2: Using bright colors fill in the flower image. Hint: be creative - they don’t have to be the real flower color. Make your flower your favorite color.

Step 3: Carefully color in the background with a contrasting color. Optional – outline the flower image in a dark color.
